1. Agreement to terms
By using our services or this website, you agree to these terms. Please read them. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Our services
Obsidian Resin provides epoxy resin flooring services in Leicestershire and the surrounding area. The scope of any specific job is set out in the written quote we give you before work starts.
Until you accept a written quote, nothing said on this site, by phone or by email forms a binding contract. Photographs, examples and case studies on this site are illustrative; pricing varies by job.
3. Quotes and pricing
- Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless we say otherwise in writing.
- Quotes are based on the information you give us. If conditions turn out to be different once work begins (for example, hidden damage or access issues), we will tell you in writing and agree any extra cost before continuing.
- All prices are in GBP. VAT is shown separately on the quote where applicable.
4. Payment
- Payment terms for each job are set out in the written quote.
- For larger jobs a deposit may be required before we book in materials or scaffolding.
- Invoices are due within the period stated on the invoice. Late payments may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where it applies.
- We accept the payment methods listed on the invoice.
5. Scheduling and access
We will agree a start date with you in writing. We do our best to keep to it, but weather, material delays, and previous jobs running over can push start dates back. We will keep you updated.
You agree to give us safe access to the site, water and a power supply where reasonably needed. If we cannot start or finish because access is refused or unsafe, we may charge for the time we have lost.
6. Cancellations and changes
- Consumer contracts (where you are a private individual, not a business) may give you a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start work inside the 14-day period, you may have to pay for what has been done up to the point you cancel.
- If you change the scope after the job has started, we will give you a written variation with any extra cost or time before we continue.
- If we cannot do the job through no fault of yours, we will refund any money you have paid for work not done.
7. Workmanship and warranty
We carry out our work with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (where it applies) and the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982.
Any specific workmanship guarantee for a job will be set out in the quote. Manufacturer's warranties on materials and parts are passed through to you on the terms the manufacturer sets.
8. Insurance
We hold public liability insurance appropriate to the epoxy resin flooring work we carry out. Details available on request.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
Subject to that, our total liability to you for any one job is limited to the price you paid for that job. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit, loss of use, or claims by third parties, except where the law requires.
10. Complaints
If something is not right, please tell us as soon as you can. Get in touch through our contact form and we'll respond and aim to put it right.
11. Use of this website
This site is provided for your information. We do our best to keep it accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee it is error-free. The site, its design, copy and images are owned by Obsidian Resin or used under licence and may not be copied without permission.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be dealt with in the courts of England and Wales.
