Outdoor resin flooring that handles a British year.
Seamless outdoor resin flooring in Leicester for patios, paths, steps and porches: grippy in the wet, UV-stable so the colour holds, and easy to brush clean. We spec the right system for what you actually have outside.
What you get
Grip in the wet
Anti-slip aggregate worked into the surface, so paths and steps stay safe through rain and frost.
Colour that holds
A UV-stable system outdoors, so the finish you pick does not fade or amber where the sun hits it.
Seamless, no joints
One continuous surface instead of slabs that weed up, rock and trip you.
Brushes clean
Moss, leaves and dirt sweep or hose straight off instead of soaking into the stone.

What "outdoor resin flooring" actually covers
Outdoor resin flooring is a catch-all for a few different jobs, and the right one depends on what you have outside. For a tired but solid patio, porch, set of steps or a path, we bond a continuous resin coating over the existing surface and broadcast a fine aggregate in for grip. You keep the base you have and lose the joints, the weeds and the rocking slabs.
For patios specifically, our patio resin flooring page goes into the prep, the grip and the drainage in detail. If what you really want is a brand-new permeable surface for the drive rather than a coating over an existing one, that is a different system again, covered on our resin-bound driveways page. Tell us which one sounds like your job and we point you the right way before we quote.
Grip and sun are the two outdoor problems
A surface that turns into a skating rink the moment it rains is no use, so grip comes first. We broadcast an anti-slip aggregate into the resin while it is wet, which leaves a fine texture underfoot that holds in the rain and through a frost but still sweeps clean.
The second problem is the sun. The wrong resin yellows and goes dull where the light lands, so we use a UV-stable system outdoors and our guide to whether epoxy resin yellows explains why that matters. Where you need an outdoor area back in use fast, ask about polyaspartic flooring when we quote, as it cures quickly and copes well with our climate.
A coating is only as good as the base
Outdoor resin is a skin over what is already there, so it bonds best to a base that is sound, clean and draining the right way. If the surface puddles, slopes back towards the house or has slabs that move, those problems come back through the resin rather than disappearing under it.
So before we quote we want to know what is down now and how it behaves in the wet. Where the existing slabs or concrete are solid and fall the right way, we can usually prep and lay straight over them. Where they are not, we say so up front rather than coat over a problem and watch it fail.

Common questions
- Can you lay resin over my existing patio or path?
- Often, yes, as long as the base is sound, clean and draining the right way. A coating follows whatever is underneath it, so if the slabs are moving or it holds water we sort that first. We assess what is there when we quote and tell you straight what it needs.
- Will outdoor resin be slippery in the rain?
- No. We broadcast an anti-slip aggregate into the resin, so the finished surface has a fine texture underfoot. It stays safe in the wet and through a frost, but is still easy to brush and hose clean.
- Does it fade in the sun?
- We use a UV-stable system outdoors, so the colour you pick holds up rather than going dull or ambering where the sun hits it. You tell us the look and we spec it when we quote.
- Is this the same as a resin driveway?
- No. Outdoor resin flooring is usually a coating over a patio, path or steps you already have. A resin driveway is a new permeable surface of stone bound through resin, which is a different system covered on our resin-bound driveways page.
