Why resin suits a wet room
A bathroom floor takes water every single day, and tiles are only ever as waterproof as the grout holding them together. Grout cracks, discolours and lets water creep underneath, which is where the trouble starts. A poured resin floor has no joints at all, so it works as one continuous waterproof membrane that we can carry up the walls and around the shower. - Is it actually waterproof?
- Yes. It is poured as one seamless surface with no grout lines, and we can tank it up the walls and around the shower so the whole area is sealed as a single waterproof skin.
- Is it slippery when wet?
- No. We build in a fine anti-slip texture so it grips underfoot in a wet bathroom. You tell us how much grip you want and we match it to the room.
- Can you do a full wet-room or shower area?
- Yes. We set the falls and drainage into the floor and carry the resin up the walls so it works as a fully open wet-room with nowhere for water to escape.
- How long before we can use the bathroom?
- Light use the next day, full cure within about a week. We plan the work around the rest of the room so you are not without it any longer than needed.
